Search, filters and simulated menus work in your browser. This page explains the website’s aggregate statistics and locally saved choices.

Website statistics

First-party statistical analytics run by default to help improve this website, without an analytics permission prompt or visitor profiles. They count visits, page and blog views, submitted search terms and result counts, app-menu opens, reading milestones and APK download clicks. Broad referral and device categories help us improve the website. Search terms resembling email addresses, phone numbers or web addresses are redacted before storage. Please do not enter personal information in app search.

Analytics requests go to this domain through Cloudflare. Aggregate daily totals are stored in Neon for up to one year; they are not connected to an account, persistent visitor ID, advertising profile or full IP address. Short-lived keyed security hashes and retry receipts are kept for up to 24 hours to limit abuse and duplicates. Expired records are removed when collection next runs. Cloudflare and Neon process hosting and database requests under their own policies. We do not sell analytics or use them for targeted advertising.

Analytics preferences

You can at any time. Your preference is saved locally, and a session timestamp helps count visits without sending a visitor identifier. Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track requests turn analytics off. Opting out does not affect search or downloads. Statistics exclude opted-out browsers and are not exact counts of people or installs.

Browser storage

Simulated choices and recent results are stored in this browser only. You can at any time. Nothing here reads your installed apps or changes their settings. Administrator login uses Cloudflare Access and the existing allowed-emails policy; visitors do not need accounts.

Download security

The APK download uses Cloudflare Turnstile to limit automated requests. The security widget loads on the download verification page and sends browser and challenge information to Cloudflare. Our server verifies its single-use response before serving the APK. This security check is separate from optional website statistics and works when analytics are off. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy for its processing details.

Android app analytics

Starting with APK version 0.6.0, first-party usage and retention reporting runs by default. The app creates a random installation ID and sends batched events to this domain: foreground sessions and duration, screens and menus, settled searches and result counts, simulated action starts, completions and cancellations, Extras use, app version, Android API version and a small set of error categories. Obvious personal information in searches is redacted before local storage and checked again by the server. No full installed-app inventory, target package names, location, contacts, advertising IDs, hardware identifiers or raw crash logs are uploaded.

The installation ID is pseudonymous, not anonymous. It is converted to a keyed hash before database storage and is not linked to website visitors or Studio accounts. Activity days and event totals are retained for up to 90 days; the identity record is retained while active and expires after 90 days of inactivity. Retry receipts expire after eight days and security limits after one day. Cleanup runs on collection, so expired records can remain while no events arrive. Offline events wait in a capped local queue for up to seven days.

In the app’s Settings, turn Analytical service off to stop future uploads and clear the ID and unsent queue, or choose Reset analytics ID to start a new identity. A request already sent may finish. Resetting does not delete previous statistics; the old ID expires through the retention policy. Reinstalling or resetting can count as another installation. No visitor login is required, and the app works offline without analytics. Earlier APKs contain no collector.
